Leila was born in Wisconsin and grew up in the Midwest. Her love of acting began when she was 13 and took classes at The School for the Performing Arts in Iowa. She moved to the Windy City and obtained her BA in Acting from Columbia College Chicago. She has worked in commercials and independent films as well as theatre productions in and around the Chicago area. At the age of 23, she took a course at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Leila strives to deeply connect to the characters she plays with honesty and vulnerability, and immerses herself in every story she is a part of.

She is inspired by many actors including Bette Davis, Katharine Hepburn, and Marlon Brando. One of her dream roles is Shakespeare’s Lady Macbeth. She is drawn to the darker and deeper depths of the human experience. Magic, mysticism, and ethereal experiences challenge us to think beyond ourselves and become inspired to transcend the mundane. Through the medium of the cinema and the stage, Leila believes that the craft of acting is a powerful force for connecting people and elevating the human consciousness.
